VITEEE 2017 Important Dates

VITEEE 2017 Application Form

The application form of VITEEE 2017 is available now, from November 9, 2016 onwards. Aspirants can fill, submit and edit VITEEE 2017 application form in online as well as offline mode till March 15, 2017. Earlier, VITEEE application form 2017 for NRI and Foreign candidates was released on September 30, 2016. Candidates are advised to be ready with a valid email id and contact number as all the further communication will happen through email only.

Image uploading details: Softcopy (scanned copy) of recently taken passport size colour photograph with 50 kb-100 kb (Dimensions - 3.5 cm x 4.5 cm)/Softcopy (scanned copy) of signature of the candidate with 20 kb–50 kb (Dimensions - 3.5 cm x 1.5 cm) in JPG/JPEG format.

Note: Selfie photos will not be accepted.

Mode of Payment: The application fee for VITEEE 2017 application form can be paid through net banking /Debit card/Credit card/Demand Draft

VITEEE 2017 Slot Booking

Every candidate aspiring to appear in VITEEE 2017 has to opt for VITEEE 2017 slot booking. Slot booking for VITEEE 2017 will tentatively be available during the third week of March. Through VITEEE slot booking 2017, the applicants have to choose slot from any of the available slots out of already declared test dates to take the CBT VITEEE 2017. Slots for booking will be available on first come first serve basis.

Note: If a candidate fails to book a slot, he/she will not be allowed to take VITEEE 2017.

VITEEE 2017 Exam Pattern

Total number of questions: There will a total of 125 questions for B.Tech paper, 40 questions each for Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry sections, while English section will have 5 questions.

Marking scheme: Each question in all the subjects will carry equal weightage, i.e. 1 mark. All questions will be objective in nature. There will be no negative marking for incorrect answers.

  

Nature of questions: All questions will be objective in nature.

Time duration: Two and half hours

VITEEE 2017 Exam Centres

Exam Centres of VITEEE 2017 are the venues where the entrance examination will be conducted. For 2017, VITEEE will be conducted in 119 exam cities including India and abroad (Dubai, Kuwait and Muscat). In 2016, VITEEE was conducted in online mode across 112 cities in India and 3 abroad – Dubai, Muscat and Kuwait.

VITEEE 2017 Admit Card

VITEEE admit card2017  will be available online in the form of e-admit card for candidates who will have booked his/her schedule through the Online Test Booking System (OTBS) before the last date. After the online slot booking is done and e-admit card of VITEEE 2017 is generated, the candidates have to take print out of it. In 2016, VITEEE Slot Booking was available in the third week of March. The e-admit card of  VITEEE 2017 will carry specifications like e-Admit Card number, photograph of the student, address of the test centre, test date and time selected by the candidate.

Note: If candidates find any incorrect information or discrepancy in the VITEEE 2017 admit card, they must bring to the university’s notice immediately.

VITEEE Participating Institutes 2017 

The participating institutes of VITEEE 2017 are the institutes that offer admission to various B.Tech and B.E. programmes available at the university. VITEEE 2017 has only 2 participating institutes - VIT Chennai and VIT Vellore, which together offer admissions to undergraduate engineering aspirants at 5000 seats.

VITEEE 2017 Result

The result of VITEEE 2017 will tentatively be declared on or before April 24, 2017. The university makes use of Equipercentile Equating Method to as a basis to announce VITEEE result. In Equipercentile Equating method, the varsity uses percentile of a candidate to find out his/her ranks. In order to check their results online, the candidates have to login using their VITEEE 2017 application number and date of birth.

VITEEE 2017 Sample Papers

The sample papers of VITEEE 2017 are previous years' question papers which are solved with their answers available. By using VITEEE sample papers 2017 for practice, the aspirants are able to master the topics and subjects, while it also helps them to understand the nature of the questions that come into the actual exam of VITEEE. Practising VITEEE 2017 sample papers also helps the candidates to learn time management and solve the problems related to the questions more efficiently.

VITEEE 2017 Counselling

For VITEEE Counselling 2017, the candidates will be shortlisted based on their VITEEE 2017 ranks. Further, they are called for VITEEE counselling 2017  on different dates and in different phases based on their ranks. The university also conducts biometric authentication for the shortlisted candidates during the counselling procedure and while joining the university. VIT University follows a common selection and admission procedure through single window counselling at both of the campuses - Vellore and Chennai. Shortlisted candidates will be required to attend the same campus personally, for which they have been shortlisted.

For the academic year 2015-16, a total of 1,84,483 had taken the entrance exam, while seats were allotted to only those candidates who were ranked 99,999 or above.

VITEEE 2017 Cutoff

VIT University doesn't declare any cutoff marks for admission to B.Tech/B.E. programmes available at the 4 campuses of Chennai, Vellore, Andhra Pradesh and Bhopal. VITEEE cutoff 2017 can be considered as the closing rank for different branches for which VITEEE 2017 counselling will be held in different phases.

For academic year 2016-17, the candidates in the top merit slab of 1 to 20,000 were called for counselling on different days in the first phase of counselling. Candidates are offered admission to different branches at the two campuses based on their percentile merit. The closing rank in one phase of counselling of VITEEE 2017 for a particular branch can be termed as VITEEE cutoff for that branch.
